Billy Fleming: Since 2003, Billy has assisted on a wide variety of projects within the firm, including design development on high-end residential, custom light fixture design studies, landscape permit plans for large-scale commercial/retail projects and preparation of presentation graphics for public hearings. Billy brings a growing knowledge of current computer program technology plus numerous years of practical construction experience with residential and historic properties to the firm’s growing project list. Billy is a graduate from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture GO RAMS! Since William’s passing in August of 2018, Billy has taken over as principal of WFA.
In Memoriam: William Fleming had maintained a professional design career for over thirty years. Bill’s education included a Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural Center and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His diverse experience led him to work on many different project types including private estates, high-end condominiums, office parks, affordable housing, parks, children’s playgrounds, regional resort rehabilitations, specialty lighting and healthcare facilities. Under his leadership, the firm had received several awards for high-end residential design and innovative landscape design approaches to environmental constraints / issues. As the Principal and owner, Bill ensured the firm’s commitment to its clients, project goals and provided sensitivity to environmental, historical and social economic issues.
